The San Blas Islands have appeared several times in the “National Geographic” magazine due to its unmatched attractions: Caribbean Islands with pristine and amazing waters, an opportunity to visit the Gunas, an indigenous population with a culture and lifestyle fascinating.
In 2011 “Lonely Planet” selected “San Blas” currently called “Guna Yala” as Tropical Paradise # 3 in the World. The Guna Yala Islands are part of a semi-autonomous territory of the Gunas, decorated by palms, beautiful beaches, roofed huts and an eternal charm. Large companies have not won a position here because the Gunas are in charge, with a series of laws to preserve the natural environment. So there are no ugly hotels to ruin the sights or tourism packages to pollute the environment, just an abundance of uninhabited islands to explore.
The famous author “John Le Carre” visited San Blas and said when he saw the landscape that “This is not paradise, it is Heaven.”
The magazine “Count Nast” has presented some of the hotels in San Blas in the list of the most exciting hotels.
The Magazine “Cruising World and Le Monde Voyage” have selected San Blas as one of the two “Best Destinations to Navigate in the World”.
The magazine “Excelencias Magazines”, title to San Blas as “A Paradise in the Caribbean”
